National Honor Society

Membership in the Richard M. Hartman Chapter of the National Honor Society is open to all Juniors and Seniors who have a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Eligible students must have taken at least two Honors/AP classes in each of their Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years, with no classes below the college prep level.

Students meeting these academic criteria are then evaluated by the faculty council based on their leadership, service, and character.

Spanish and French Honor Society

General Eligibility Requirements:

Membership is based on general scholarship and specific achievement in French or Spanish, leadership, and interest in language activities.
Membership is restricted to students actively studying French or Spanish at the secondary level.
Candidates must be enrolled in at least the fourth semester of study (Level II, second semester, or higher).
Candidates must be in grades 10, 11, or 12.

Scholastic Eligibility Requirements:

Must have maintained an A– average or higher in French or Spanish during the quarter of selection.
Must have an overall A– average or higher in all French or Spanish work receiving secondary credit.
Must have a cumulative B– average in all subjects.
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

National Art Honor Society

General Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates must be in grades 10, 11, or 12.
Must have a minimum 90% average in all Art classes.
Must have completed at least one Art class in Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior years.
Must provide one teacher recommendation.
Must complete eight hours of arts-related community service.
Will be evaluated by the faculty council on leadership, service, and character.

Bio-Recycling Honor Society

Must maintain an academic GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Must have regular attendance at Bio-Recycling Club meetings (at least 80%).
Must actively participate in all club activities (bake sales, fundraisers, etc.).
