1.) Jersey Clicks
New Jersey's one stop library gateway to quality information. Can meta-search databases on the following topics: Biographies, Business, Current Events, Education, Spanish, Genealogy, Health, History, Literature, Newspapers, and Science. Thirty-five databases available. In order to access from home, you must see Ms. Kelley for the library card number.
2.) SIRS Researcher
A general reference database containing thousands of full-text articles exploring social, scientific, health, historical, business, economic, political, and global issues.
Provides articles on diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, and mental health information.
Presents in-depth coverage of current social, historical, and political issues.
5.) Lands and People
A general reference encyclopedia of countries, cultures, and current events. Access to Grolier Online, a database with web links, articles, and over 1,100 world newspapers in 73 languages and 195 countries.
6.) Country Reports
This database "provides over 35,000 pages of online content on the cultures and countries of the world." Cultural, historical and statistical information is provided for each country. Additional external resources are also provided.
7.) Digital Literacy
“Digital Literacy delivers curriculum-correlated content; promotes digital literacy and 21st-century learning skills; and offers research, report, and homework help. This database informs about key digital literacy and cyber citizenship topics including entrepreneurship and careers; communication, cyberbullying, and safety; privacy and ethics; research skills and tools for the digital age; social networking; and gaming.”
