Midland Park Track & Field was represented by five student-athletes at the NJSIAA Group 1 Championships this past weekend, competing against some of the top athletes from across New Jersey.

Freshman Brooklyn Hollens continued her impressive season with a fifth-place finish in the Triple Jump. Hollens capped off a remarkable freshman campaign that included a North 1 Group 1 sectional championship and a trip to the Group Championships.

Riley Butler delivered another strong postseason performance in the Shot Put, earning a third-place finish and securing a spot in the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions.

Cienna Thimme competed in two events for the Panthers, placing 14th in the Pole Vault and 19th in the Javelin. Qualifying for the Group Championships in multiple events was a tremendous accomplishment and capped off an outstanding postseason run.

Jacob Junta continued his historic season by placing second in the High Jump. Junta also earned a seventh-place finish in the Javelin. His runner-up finish in the High Jump secured a berth in the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions.

Eric Labastille represented Midland Park in the 110 Meter High Hurdles, competing against the best hurdlers in Group 1 and concluding a successful postseason.

The Panthers will now turn their attention to the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions, which will be held on Wednesday, June 4, at Pennsauken High School.

Midland Park will be represented by the following qualifiers:

• Jacob Junta – High Jump (2nd Place, Group 1)

• Riley Butler – Shot Put (3rd Place, Group 1)
