Midland Park Jr./Sr. High School Students Participate in Bergen Community College Instant Decision Day

Several Midland Park Jr./Sr. High School students participated in Bergen Community College's Instant Decision Day presentation today in the school's Media Center, where they received acceptance to the college and took an important step toward planning their futures.

The program connects high school students with college representatives, allowing them to learn about academic programs, admissions, financial benefits, and opportunities available at Bergen Community College.

Attending a community college can be an affordable way to begin a college education while saving significantly on tuition and other expenses. Students can pursue an associate degree, to explore career pathways, or complete coursework before transferring to a four-year institution.

Another important benefit is the opportunity to build on college credits earned in high school. Eligible students may receive credit for approved dual-enrollment courses and Advanced Placement (AP) exams, potentially applying up to 45 credits toward their Bergen Community College degree requirements, subject to the college's credit-transfer and program policies. These credits can help students save both time and money as they work toward graduation.

Through Instant Decision Day, Midland Park students gained valuable information about college planning, explored their postsecondary options, and received an early admissions decision. The experience helps students approach their next chapter with greater confidence and a clear understanding of the opportunities ahead.

Midland Park Jr./Sr. High School congratulates all participating students on this achievement and encourages them to continue exploring pathways that support their academic and career goals!
